This series documents fragments of life and tradition in San Gabriel Mixtepec, Oaxaca.
Shot in black and white, the intention was to remove distraction and focus on what remains —
gesture, texture, presence, and memory.
Rather than observing from a distance, the approach was immersive,
moving through spaces, people, and moments as they unfolded naturally.
This is not a reconstruction of tradition.
It is a quiet record of what already exists.
